We are recruiting for a Construction Project Manager to join a business group with a long history dedicated to providing a wide range of industrial services in strategic sectors, specialising in the execution of projects and in the assembly and maintenance of industrial installations and which seeks to position itself as an international benchmark in the technological development of communications, industry and engineering.

You will join with a **permanent contract**, development opportunities and a salary of **50k**.

We are looking for a person with a degree in Process/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferably with qualifications in Project Management who can bring solid experience and work history, used to managing teams.

Expected date of entry on 1 August 2023.
Working hours from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. with one hour for lunch.

The project will be _a mechanical assembly site for a petrochemical plant in southern Portugal._

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Representation of the Company before the Client, on the site for which you are the manager.
- Technical and economic management of the Works, for which you will have sufficient knowledge and experience to:

- General management of the delivery of the project and associated installations.
- Preparing project plans, including project scope, schedule, resources and deliverables.
- Manage and lead cross-functional teams to successfully deliver the project on time and in accordance with the required quality.
- Experience in scheduling, risk management and budgeting.
- Monitor and control each phase and step of the project implementation.
- Identify and report project issues and risks to the relevant people.
- Finding solutions to mitigate and/or minimise project risks and other problems.
- Develop test plans and manage their execution to ensure that the results delivered are of high quality.
- Prepare and deliver project management deliverables, such as meeting minutes, reports, etc., to the appropriate steering committee.
- Ensure that the project is delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
- Coordinate, monitor and control multi-disciplinary activities through the respective leads.
- Resolve, provide leadership in the resolution of interdisciplinary conflicts and set priorities.
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress. xiv.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs. xv.
- Ensure preparation of monthly project status reports, participate in project review meetings, including external review meetings. xvi.
- Adhere to and take the lead on all HSE standards and specifications.

What do we hope you can contribute?
- Essential:_
- Degree in Process/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferably with Project Management qualifications.
- Experience of 20 years in oil and gas related design, construction and implementation work on major projects.
- Extensive experience in multi-disciplinary interfaces and have the interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
- Other:_
- Sound knowledge of design engineering in relation to the project cycle, including relevant industry codes and standards, and HSSE aspects of oil and gas design/construction.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software package.
- Ability to work as part of a team and dedication
- **Management** skills
- High level of written and spoken **English**
