Your main mission will be to support the team regarding the coordination of Quality, Food Safety and Safety and Health Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and ISO 45001), delivering a sustainable high service level and alignment with Nespresso internal and external partners, in order to pursuit zero incidents and illnesses as the essential base for maintaining employees with food safety commitment and consumer preference. You will be also responsible to assist the Q&SHE Manager in specific areas of expertise as acting according to the Nespresso Quality, SHE systems, fulfilling legal, internal and normative requirements applicable to Nestlé Portugal Unipessoal, Lda

**A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Q&SHE SPECIALIST**

**Cross functional alignment**
- Coordinate compliance with Food Safety and Safety Health and Environment Systems requirements (ISO 22000, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001) and other applicable instructions and standards
- Implement business strategy in Food Safety management area
- Develop Nestlé Continuous Excellence within Quality, Safety and Food Safety Standards
- Provide inputs for Safety and Food Safety management issues in defining local business strategy
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of Food Defense and HACCP (Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Points)

**Develop People and Organization**
- Support Food Safety and SHE management system in the organization
- Identify technical training needs and implement training plan
- Support technical training of Food Safety Ambassadors
- Backup for Safety Specialist

**Compliance**
- Run traceability exercises and define action plan based on gaps
- Equipment calibration
- Adhere to company principles, policies, and local laws/regulations.
- Ensure compliance for BTQ's, Events, ASC, and local developments for Security and Food Safety
- Ensure compliance for Annual Analytical Plan

**Nespresso Safety and Environmental Management Systems**
- Support definition and implementation of the local Safety, Health, and Environmental strategy with Q&SHE Manager
- Perform Quality, Safety, Food Safety, and Environment Assessments
- Maintain Nestlé Quality Management Systems and achieve compliance with standards

**Operations Assistance**
- Support local Food Safety and Security management strategy
- Ensure HQ guideline implementation
- Escalate non-conformities to HQ and provide inputs for improvement
- Ensure suppliers' compliance and define prerequisites for approval
- Evaluate risk assessment, non-conformities, and legal requirements, and support action plan development
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks.
- Run traceability exercises and define action plan based on gaps
- Coordinate with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

**Budget Management**
- Align with Q&SHE Manager the budget spend of Quality and Food Safety with Operational Plan
- Respect corporate audit guidelines

**WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL**
- University degree in Engineering or similar, preferably with specialization in Food Safety, Safety & Environment areas
- Experience with Safety, Health and Environment Management Systems (ISO 45001 and ISO 14000) is mandatory
- Preferentially Technical Certification in Safety at Work (H&S) - level VI
- Knowledge in HACCP and identification of critical points
- Minimum of 2 years’ of Safety professional background is highly desirable, with proven track record in operational environment
- Experience on training and learning methodologies/tools, being certified trainer would be an advantage
- Improvement projects as in participating in auditing teams
- Proficiency in English (preferable)
- Good command of Excel (mandatory) and Power BI (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Dynamic and proactive attitude
- Ability to manage conflicts effectively
