Cork Protocol’s mission is to expand access to housing, by leveraging digital assets and data stored on public ledgers to build a next generation mortgage securitization process. Cork has the potential to meaningfully improve the efficiency of lending, which would save home owners 120b$ per year in reduced mortgage payments.

The project is at an early stage, as a leader in the growing organization we are looking for the type of person that enjoys working with independence towards building a top engineering culture. If you are the type of person that enjoys a big challenge, is self-motivated and loves bringing a new product to life, from ideation to production, you likely would be the right fit for the role.

As the CTO at Cork you would have an evolving role as we grow and tasks get delegated, but some of the core **responsibilities would include**:

- Attracting world class engineers and building an excellent engineering organization
- Developing product concepts from idea through the product development cycle to launch
- Initially a good amount of hands-on coding, specifically smart contract development (Solidity) and building a web app
- Overseeing architectural design, security and tech audits

To excel in this role your **experience might include**:

- Several years experience building and managing engineering teams
- A solid engineering background with relevant coding experience to building a product leveraging smart contracts
- Experience working in a startup environment, ideally in some type of co-founding capacity
