**ROLE SUMMARY**:

The position of International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Coordinator is a key role in the school. They are responsible for overall leadership and management of our IB Diploma Programme, as well as the achievement of excellence in international education in line with PaRK IS ethos and values. They have responsibility and ownership of the DP curriculum, quality of teaching and learning in the DP, but also overall pastoral support and university guidance for all Grade 11 and 12 students in PaRK IS Senior School (whether following the DP or A Level Pathways).
The IBDP Coordinator is part of the Senior School Leadership Team comprising of the Executive Head, Head of Senior School, Senior Deputy Head, Deputy Head Pastoral, Head of Wellbeing and Assistant Head: Curriculum and Student Progress. Specific areas of responsibility are outlined below. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list but is by way of example, responsibilities and duties may vary as the position evolves.
The IBDP Coordinator will report directly to the Head of Senior School. They will be expected to teach approximately 0.5 of a normal teaching timetable.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for all students on the IB Diploma Programme.
- To lead initiatives to develop and enhance teaching and learning in the IB Diploma Programme in line with the latest national and international thinking;
- To be responsible for the routine management of the IB Diploma Programme and IB Diploma Courses;
- To liaise with the Senior Deputy Head to ensure optimum assessment and reporting systems for IB students;
- Together with the Asst Head: Curriculum and Student Progress, timetable, ensuring that it meets the needs of all IBDP students and on the administration of required set changes;
- To undertake the annual review of the IBDP exam results including the production of a report for the board.
- To liaise with the SEN/EAL coordinators where appropriate;
- To register students with the IBO and ensure that they meet all IBO requirements.
- To manage on-line learner programmes with Pamoja Education for students taking on-line courses, ensuring that registration, tracking and progress data, and examination entries are undertaken in accordance with IBO and Pamoja regulations;
- To liaise with the Examinations Officer to ensure compliance with the IBO and examination procedures;
- To oversee the pre-Grade 11 and 12 student induction programme through Grade 10;
- To oversee the Extended Essay, ToK and CAS programmes;
- To work with the Senior Deputy Head to assist with the transition from iGCSE to IBDP;
- To ensure the maintenance of accurate and up to date information relating to the IB Diploma Programme and IB Diploma Courses on Managebac and the school’s MIS (iSAMS);
**MORE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- To line manage the Head/s of Year for Grades 11 and 12
- To attend 'HoY Meetings', and liaise with other HoYs and the Senior School Leadership Team ;
- To build excellent relationships with the students in the year groups;
- To plan and lead year group assemblies;
- To determine the key aspects of the year calendar for grades 11 and 12;
- To support the admission process of new students;
**GENERAL LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- To perform the normal duties of a member of the Senior School Leadership Team, including the attendance of SSLT meetings and the undertaking of performance management reviews as required;
- To schedule and chair IB meetings as required to ensure the smooth running of the IBDP;
- To provide comprehensive information on the IB Diploma Programme and IB Diploma Course in respect of IBO philosophy, aims and requirements;
- To publish and review annually the IB Handbook and IB Subject Options Guide which should include key calendar dates through the year that pertain to the IB Diploma Programme;
