Service Trainer

**About the job Service Trainer - Italy (Home-based)**:
**Position Specification**

The Service trainer is responsible for the technical training for all our client's products:

- Manage the development of Service / Technical Training material (student material/teacher material in English) to meet the pedagogic targets and expectations of the Global Training team and the needs of the region
- Develop/build new pedagogic training tools such as online training, simulators, dynamic schematics, video, graphic animation evaluation tests, etc.
- Work with Suppliers, Product Service Managers, and Global Training team to develop training material
- Conduct effective Training in Italian and English is a must. Other local languages in EU Region is a plus.
- Coach Service Trainer and/or Service Trainer junior by sharing knowledge and experience

**Main **Responsibility**:
**Development** - Gather input from students, our client's field people, and Product Service Manager to identify new training needs and provide feedback to training organization management

**Conduct training**:

- Execute one-week technical trainings in the training center and in the field for our client's equipment

**Manage training material developmentc**:

- Manage the development of training material:

- Setup clear training course agenda based on requirements from Global Training Team
- Create new training materials in English and Italian
- Develop online training material & diagnostic workshops
- Issue regular status reports

**Keeping himself up to date**:

- Assimilating the technology of new products in coordination with PS Team and Global Training Team

**Coach the Service Trainer and/or Service Trainer junior**:

- Share experience and best practices in:

- Technical and Product knowledge, Training delivery technics, Training design

**Manage and organize local training**:

- Gather the needs, and secure the content and logistics in accordance with the local training agreement, the certification program, and the administrative requirement

**Education** **&** **Qualification**:

- Engineering

**Knowledge & Skill** - Mechanics / didactic
- Heavy / Compact construction equipment knowledge
- Willingness to travel frequently throughout the region.
- Excellent Italian andEnglish + Local Language(s)
- Very good Computer skills (Powerpoint, Word, Excel) are required.
- Any knowledge of additional graphical packages or simulation tools is a plus (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Story Line...)
- Good communication skills, verbal and written.
- Open-minded to multiple cultures
- Ability to adopt new training techniques and use new training tools

**Experience Description**
- More than 5 years experience as a Service Trainer for a Construction Equipment manufacturer of which min 5 years for Heavy Equipment.
- Field experience (repair troubleshooting) Dealer network experience

The trainer should be able to deliver training in more than 1 language. For this, he/she needs to manage the different technical terminologies.

Find a good balance in supplying a large amount of information to students.

Ability to manage classroom training but also to teach troubleshooting-thinking
- techniques

Find a good balance between: training preparation
- Training delivery and the continuous need to work on the training material due to new product introductions and updates.
