**Asset Accounting Manager Europe (M/F)**

**About the Role**

Are you ready to lead, innovate, and drive efficiency in a dynamic environment? As an **Asset Accounting Manager **, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of our global asset accounting processes within the Europe region.

Join our global unit, the **Global Business Services Asset Accounting team **, responsible for handling asset accounting throughout the Essity organization. From asset creation to depreciation, transfer, sales, or retirement, you’ll oversee the entire asset life cycle.

**What You Will Do**

**In this role, the Asset Accounting Manager will be**:

- Responsible for delivering Asset Accounting services in Europe, e.g. capitalisation and divestment
- Leasing IFRS16 accounting, period end activities like depreciation runs and asset-related reporting and yearly asset inventory verification
- Securing good cost management within own responsibility area.
- Accountable that the organization’s asset accounting services are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently, and according to relevant accounting principles, regulations and standards, whether established by the company, by authorities or regulators
- Serve as point of contact for the audit processes in Asset Management, including Key Internal Control Requirements (KICs)
- Responsible for securing close cooperation between the different organizational units across the matrix organization
- Accountable for customer satisfaction and continuous improvements in own area
- Contribute to development of new and/or improved services, tools and processes through participation in projects and initiatives led by the services development teams and supports implementation
- Lead, evaluate, and develop the asset accounting team by performing the employee management process for staff (e.g. staffing decisions, coaching, development, evaluation) with an emphasis to coach and mentor employees.

**Who You Are**
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Finance
- Minimum 5 years' experience in either Finance/Accounting or Controlling
- Proven Asset Accounting skills are especially valuable
- Leadership and manager experience in a multi-cultural environment (physical and remote), preferably from other Shared Service Center
- Genuine interest in people management with the ability to build effective teams
- Proactive and innovative approach
- Flexible - readily adapts to remote leadership, changes, new systems and/or methods
- Skilled in driving and managing change
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Self-driven, Team player
- Deliver with quality and speed, drive change and engagement
- SAP ECC and S/4, Office 365 and RPA solution experience
- Fluency in English, verbal and written.
