Bill Pay Product Manager

Overview

Together with regional Acceptance teams and cross-functional partners around the globe, Global Acceptance Solutions works to expand Mastercard acceptance and help merchants and acquirers grow their businesses through Acceptance solutions and programs. At its essence, building acceptance is about driving the secular shift from cash to electronic payments, ensuring Mastercard is available everywhere consumers choose to pay, and giving consumers the best payment experience - one that’s fast, convenient and secure.

The Bill Pay Product Manager will identify, prioritize, and execute initiatives that expand Mastercard acceptance and drive incremental transactions within key Bill Pay verticals (e.g. telecom, education, utilities). This will involve developing a deep understanding of the elements of bill pay checkout experiences, articulating the market-level nuances that drive payments behavior, and establishing GTM programs and solutions to resolve merchant pain points and accelerate the use of Mastercard credentials at scale. With success in the Bill Pay space, this product manager can establish the GTM framework we use to grow our footprint and expand our reach into adjacent verticals. Critical for success in this role is working cross-functionally with our global and regional partners across the business.

Role
- Establish a go-to-market strategy and product management priorities that expand Mastercard acceptance and grow payments volume in priority Bill Pay verticals
- Understand the pain points within the consumer journey within bill pay, and design and lead initiatives to optimize usage of Mastercard products
- Establish strong cross-functional relationships across the product, marketing, D&S and franchise functions to lead commercialization initiatives and drive commercial plans
- Advise and support sales including authoring thought leadership narratives, go-to-market and other product support materials
- Identify and measure key performance indicators, track performance of product initiatives, and set objectives with regional partners
- Establish, implement and monitor best practices
- Identify market segment opportunities and develop targeted product and Go-to-market programs

All About You
- Passion for consumer experience, and process optimization
- Self-starter with an ability to identify market opportunity through data-driven insights
- Product management experience preferred
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with ability to simplify complex concepts, communicate across audience levels, and develop compelling narratives
- Excellent project management skills - proven ability to launch and manage large, cross-functional initiatives
- Ability to partner with and influence key stakeholders
- Acquiring and Merchant payments experience desired
- Bachelor’s required, MBA or consulting experience preferred
