As a Junior Accountant your primary responsibility will be to support the mid-level accounting management to ensure that the daily tasks are up-to-date, updating general ledgers, documentation keeping, supporting reconciliations (including banks, accounts payable and accounts receivable).
**What you'll be doing**:
- General Ledger Accounting Support:
- Integrate AP Invoices, confirming that they are according to the budget expectations and accounting policies;
- Support Bank Posting and Reconciliation;
- Support Revenue Accounting;
- Support Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Review if all AP documents booked in Portugal are saved in physical folders
- **Responsible for keeping all the statutory documentation is saved physically and virtually;**
- Documentation Keeping:
- **Document the accounting team processes**
- Accounts Payable:
- Identify discrepancies and work with AP to solve them
- Accounts Receivable:
- Aging analysis;
- **Support reconciliation of open items with the operations team**
- Analytics:
- Supports getting information to build ad-hoc reports
**What you need to have**:
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or any related field;
- Fluent in English (written & spoken).

- Problem-solving mindset and resilience to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
