**Function Overview**:
The Planet technology team is driving the modernization of the core infrastructure that is revolutionizing how the global hospitality, retail and connected commerce industry operates. We work with the latest technologies using modern design, development, and delivery practices. Our teams excel at being on the forefront of transforming the connected commerce industry.
**Role Overview**:
As an L2 SOC Analyst, you will be working alongside our established Global SOC Team and our MSSP partner to effectively and timely respond and manage security incidents and alerts.
Planet’s Global SOC Team provides 24x7x365 monitoring and you will be required to work shifts.
**What you will do**:
Be the first point of contact for security events, anomalies, incidents, and investigations.
Create and improve security incident response playbooks.
Monitor and triage alerts produced by IDS/IPS, EDR and file integrity monitoring solutions.
Conduct log-based and endpoint-based threat detection to protect against threats coming from multiple sources.
Work with our MSSP and service owners to ensure proper onboarding of all log sources into SIEM solution.
**Who you are**:
4+ years’ experience in information security monitoring and incident response.
Proven experience in working with Splunk SIEM and in using SOAR solutions, preferably Siemplify.
Ability to work independently and complete tasks if alone on the shift.
Comfortable building scripts to automate tasks (e.g PowerShell, Python).
Experience with Office 365 Security Suite.
Proven experience with phishing and malware detection and response.
