We're actively advancing hydrogen (H2) and ammonia (NH3) projects in Brazil, Canada, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden and continuously expanding. Currently, we are recruiting for a Senior Lawyer.
As a Senior Lawyer, you will play a key role in providing legal advice and support to our project development team. You will be responsible for negotiating and drafting various types of agreements, including agreements, land leases, and construction contracts. Additionally, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, such as engineers and project managers, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate legal risks.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor's degree in law from an accredited university
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a lawyer, preferably in the renewable energy sector
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy project development and related legal frameworks is a plus
- Experience negotiating and drafting agreements
- Familiarity with environmental and regulatory requirements for renewable energy projects is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Adherence to ethical standards and commitment to professionalism
- Membership in good standing with the Portuguese bar association
- Fluent in English, Spanish & Portuguese a plus
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Provide legal advice and support to the project development team on all legal matters related to renewable energy projects
- Negotiate and draft various types of agreements, including power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, land leases, and construction contracts
- Guide and assist in the development and implementation of project development strategies
- Conduct legal due diligence on renewable energy projects, including reviewing project documentation and identifying potential risks and liabilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as engineers and project managers, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigation of legal risks
- Assist in the management of external legal counsel, including overseeing their work and ensuring high-quality legal services
- Stay up-to-date on legal and regulatory developments in the renewable energy sector and provide recommendations for adapting business strategies accordingly
