**Montessori Early Years Educator (Ages 4-6)**

This is a full-time position. We are looking for a Montessori Early Years (Ages 4-6) Educator to join our team starting August 2023 in Sintra, Portugal.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Demonstrate a desire to make a difference to a child’s learning
- Believe in the abilities of colleagues, in order to work closely with each other to establish the highest standards of learning, within a learning environment that reflects current best practices
- To be an effective early years educator - to plan, organise and resource a stimulating classroom environment which will facilitate children’s independent learning and enable children to maximise their full potential
- To implement Boundless Education by incorporating the Montessori philosophy
- To monitor each child’s progress, keep meaningful records and evaluate performance through formative assessments in line with Boundless Education policy
- Communicate information about each child’s progress and targets, including the creation of full reports
- To take responsibility for the welfare and safety of all the children
- Commit to active professional learning in order to grow as an educator and a person
- To establish and maintain excellent links with parents and carers
- Exhibiting emotional intelligence through a positive and supportive attitude, contributing to a positive ethos for learning
- Be a team player, willing to learn and contribute to the learning of others in a coaching culture
- Provide multiple updates to parents during the week with Kindiedays or similar platforms
- Find and highlight a common thread that connects different Boundless destinations
- Take the time to connect with each individual child and provide a more personalised journey
- Open up lesson planning, create learning experiences and activities
- Provide and lead three conferences within a 3-month cohort
- Incorporate the Montessori philosophy in quests on a smaller scale
- Collect data to file for end of cohort Growth Trackers

**Compensation & Benefits**
- Competitive salary
- 9 weeks off including public holidays, or legal minimum in your region if greater

**Qualifications**
- Hold an educational qualification, preferably in early years education (1-6 year olds)
- Montessori-trained
- A minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- Excellent English language skills
