**Admission Requirements**:

- Pursuing a BSc degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or equivalent scientific areas;
- Excellent academic and practical background in programming, machine learning, and natural language processing;

**Work Objectives**:
The activities will be focused mostly on the use case “Multilingual Customer Service Dialogue Tool”. The tool should enable a customer service agent to provide support to global users (by text) in cases where the customer and agent speak different languages, using the context of the conversation to assist the agent, with guidance to provide helpful, personalized answers that take into account the formality level and the cultural context of the customer and the brand, as well as monitoring the satisfaction and engagement of the customer. The focus will be primarily on the work packages WP4 (“Adaptable and context-aware models”) and WP5 (“Uncertainty-aware, robust and explainable models”), namely in the following activities: Task T4.1: Adaptable, multimodal generation and translation. Task T4.2: Contextualisation and emotion tracking. Task T5.3: Robustness to noisy input.

**Applicable legislation**:

- Labour Code approved by Law no. 7/2009 of 12 February, under its current Reading.

**Place of work**:
The workplace shall be at Instituto de Telecomunicações, Instituto Superior Técnico, Torre Norte, Av. Rovisco Pais, 1, 1049-001 Lisboa or at any other facilities of Instituto de Telecomunicações namely in Aveiro, Coimbra, Porto, Covilhã, Leiria or others, in accordance with the requirements and needs of research projects.

**Duration**:
6 months.

**Monthly salary**:
Monthly remuneration is 1.059,59 Euros.
