**Role purpose**:
Responsible for assisting in the efforts and results of the financial department. Reporting to the Financial Controller regarding all financial and accounting activities.
**Responsibilities**:
Analysing cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
Ensure monthly focus on invoicing and on debt collection to minimise aged debt.
Ensuring control of all credit and debit cards with a view to producing monthly reporting on usage and card limits.
Maintain an active supplier spend list and ensure coding to correct suppliers and departments.
Closing month-end timetable on time with a view to facilitating the consolidation of group accounts and producing month-end commentary
Working with the BDO accounting team to resolve queries/errors quickly and efficiently during close to minimise any reworkings and with a focus on reducing timing on month-end close
Establish financial reporting systems that reflect the latest departmental mappings within the month-end cycle
Ensuring intercompany balances (including loan agreements) and allocations agree, reconcile monthly, and are signed off by Financial Controller
Ensure validation of tax transactions with a view to making all filings and payments on time once signed off by Financial Controller.
Providing Skattefunn registration information.
Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations with the BDO team, with sign-offs from the Financial Controller.
Assist the Financial Controller with timely and accurate financial information.
Assist the Financial Controller in the year-end and Audit process as necessary.
Ad-hoc duties.
Skills & Qualification
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
Knowledge of financial accounting
Computer literacy and working knowledge of Google Sheets and Microsoft Office
In-depth understanding of financial reporting principles
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to work well in a team
