About
Established in 2009, Crew à la Mode is an apparel and lifestyle agency, supplying luxury performance clothing and lifestyle solutions for super yachts, private aviation, hotels, villas and private residences.
From our Head Office in London, our project management team source luxury yacht crew clothing and uniform from core suppliers, with our offering extending to our consciously produced and designed in-house luxury crew clothing range CALM by CREW.
CALM by CREW consists of; our stocked ready-to-wear brand, CREW Ready, our
bespoke design offering, CREW Design and custom Made to Order items under
CREW Made.
In 2021 Crew à la Mode migrated their warehouse and distribution operations from
London to Portugal to form CREW HUB. CREW HUB manages the logistics and
distribution of all core supplier stock and CALM by CREW stock received from
factory/supplier for order fulfilment and distribution to our global clients.
About the Role
Production Manager for CALM by CREW, is a pivotal role in the company. Working closely with the design team and Product Developer/Garment Tech in London you will lead and drive the timely production of the CALM by CREW collections, including ready-to-wear, made-to-order and bespoke garments from sample through to delivery.
You will be expected to manage internal and external production and workflow, ensuring exceptional quality is met whilst managing short and ever-changing deadlines. You will need to enjoy working at a fast-pace and help to find creative solutions to problems with a positive attitude.
As well as working independently you will be a great communicator, liaising regularly with factories, suppliers and agents, as well as proactively updating the Client Services team on production progress and flagging issues.
Main responsibilities
- End to end management of production process, working closely with design team, product developer in London for all CALM by CREW garments (ready to wear, made-to-order, bespoke design)
- Responsible for critical path management of all orders to ensure timely delivery and providing creative solutions when issues arise
- Liaising daily with both Fully Factored and CMT factories, with regular visits in person to strengthen relationships
- Negotiate and regularly review pricing and capacity with all manufacturers
- Sending accurate and approved POs to fully factored factories
- Daily updates to the production management sheet; order tracking to include garment information, quantities, factory, delivery dates, raw materials status, pricing and relevant notes
- Regular communication with the production team and Client Services team to relay delays or issues, provide creative solutions and ensuring changing priority lists are up to date
- Develop relationships with new and existing factories and suppliers to improve capacity
- Management and approval of pricing/units on invoices, check against approved PO’s
- Management of logistics and shipments of bulk garment deliveries to warehouse considering time and cost efficiency
- Liaise with the product developer if there are any products that need re-developing due to manufacturing faults, pricing issues, or supply chain problems.
- Escalate issues to Director and Creative Director for resolving

Your Attributes
- Must have 3+ years experience in a similar role
- Fluency in English
- Experience and confidence working in a production team
- Provide creative solutions, think strategically
- Ability to work with mínimal direction, as well as with in a team
- Possess a strong drive to push things forward
- Excellent interpersonal skills and must work well across multiple teams
- Naturally work well under pressure across multiple projects
- Building and managing effective and strong relationships with external suppliers
- Advanced spreadsheet use required
- Confident use of database/production management software beneficial
- Familiar with Google Drive beneficial but training will be given
- Adobe Design Suite \ beneficial but training will be given
- Languages \ beneficial but not essential
- Have an appreciation/understanding of the luxury market.
