We are now expanding our operations to Barcelona and building a team to support European markets in different countries such as Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Portugal, where we are headquartered. **ABOUT YOUR ROLE**:
As a Junior Payroll Specialist at Cluster, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance with tax and labor regulations.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Processing payroll accurately and timely in compliance with Portuguese labor legislation.
- Utilizing advanced Excel skills to analyze payroll data, generate reports, and identify discrepancies.
- Collaborating with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies. - Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, social security regulations, and labor legislation.
- Assisting in the implementation of payroll process improvements and enhancements.
- Providing timely manner responses and support to employees regarding payroll inquiries.
- Verify and validate employee absenteeism and justifications.
- Perform any other payroll or finance duties as required by business needs.
**To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications**:
- Strong knowledge of Taxes & Social Security regulations.
- Familiarity with Portuguese labor legislation.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Portuguese Payroll processing.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas and pivot tables.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll processing.
- Experience in Submitting AT/SS Declarations (DMR, DRI) and familiarity with related procedures.
- Knowledge on Submitting AT/SS Declarations (DMR, DRI) is a plus.
