Indie Campers operates across the US in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Orlando, and Miami, and in Europe in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Ireland, England, Scotland, Switzerland, Iceland, Sweden, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Croatia, Norway, and has pick-up centres in more than 50 cities.
**THE ROLE**
The Commercial Planning and Trading Team is part of the Revenue Management department. This cross-functional unit connects all relevant teams to translate the global revenue strategy into individual local market strategies and subsequently execute them. In addition to driving the local market strategies, the team plans and monitors the market-specific sales. The team analyses the impact of commercial levers on business performance and also assesses Indie Camper's positioning and effectiveness vs. competition. Lastly, the team aims to provide the organisation with clear insights and recommendations for optimal commercial steering and identify growth levers to sustain both long-term growth and our local strategy.
**WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO**
As the local commercial expert for your markets, you will work very closely with the Commercial Planning Director and the Chief Revenue Officer supporting them with your analytical skills and business knowledge.
You will be responsible for defining your market commercial targets and regularly updating your expectations based on the latest market trends.
You will closely monitor the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly business performance in the market, identify and explain deviations to target, and present recommendations to close potential performance gaps in order for Indie Campers to meet global growth and profit objectives.
Together with the Commercial Planning Director you will translate global Indie Campers objectives into local plans and define local market strategies holistically looking across different business areas (including, not limited to: Marketing, Pricing, and Logistics), working closely with these teams.
You will lead cross-functional projects and execute key strategic initiatives with commercial relevance in your market and direct impact on local PnL.
**WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU CAN BRING**
- You have a strong academic track record: MBA or Master's in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Management or comparable academic qualification
- Minimum 2+ years of work experience in consumer-oriented commercial, financial or business development role with a solid track record
- Excellent analytical skills and commercial thinking. Plus: Understanding of PnL.
- Fluency in Excel-like tools, and knowledge of BI visualisation software. Plus: Proficiency in SQL.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills: proven experience in good collaboration and driving projects with different teams across the organisation.
- Strong sense of responsibility: the ability to work in a self-driven, results-oriented, and independent manner, taking initiative to improve decision-making and drive the business
- You are business-fluent in written and spoken English
