The Associate Financial Specialist is a full-time position in the Finance Department, based at Bial Headquarters in Porto and reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Management. This role is responsible for coordinate the accounting record of operations.

**The Impact You’ll Make**
- Customer Account Reconciliations, researching and resolving account discrepancies
- Working together with commercial departments to review accounts, customer payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms
- Ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up to date
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions
- Handle blocked customer orders
- Generating reports and statements for internal use
- Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts
- Provide all the relevant information for reporting & forecasting
- Support the audit process (internal or external), providing information and clarification
- Participate in transversal processes and setup of new operations / projects, promoting the best possible solution in an end-to-end perspective
- Continuously look for improvements with new methods and tools to improve the efficiency of the Group’s activities

**What You’ll Bring**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- At least 1 years experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, credit practices and collection regulations
- Attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (experience in IFS is valuable)
