**What the role is**

Working as a Cook, you will play a central role supporting the Kitchen team prep and service work. You will be passionate about food and service, and flexible to work on different sections, where you will receive full on-going training to support your development.

**What you will be doing**
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within the kitchen team.
- Guide, train, evaluate and supervise the staff of the kitchen.
- Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus, when required.
- Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
- Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
- Must come to the shift in high hygienic condition.
- Supervise the Inventory of the Kitchen
- Control the FIFO Protocol.
- Ensure that all protocols are performed according to brand standards.

**What you need for the role**
- Minimum of 2+ years experience
- Ability to work well in a team
- Ability to teach others
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Must come to work in a presentable manner
- Have good communication skills
- Ensure that protocols and recipe specifications are followed
- Keep on top of high hygiene standards, health and safety protocols, allergens and temperature controls
- Attention to detail while ensuring all dishes go out quickly to a high standard
- Experience preparing fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish
