**The opportunity**:
Uphold is looking for an UX Writer to join our Product team. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity where you’ll help shape Uphold customer experiences by crafting copy that helps users complete the task at hand.

You’ll be writing innovative, stunning, memorable and effective copy to drive cohesive product narratives across the different platforms and user’s touch points. As our resident wordsmith, you’ll work closely with product management, design, marketing and customer care teams to help establish connective language and a unified voice.

**What you’ll be doing primarily**:

- Help on the design process, setting the tone for the content to create even more usable user journeys
- Craft compelling, concise and user-friendly copy, appropriate within the given context, on-brand, and driven by user’s goals and emotions
- Conduct user research in order to build a strong sense of empathy with the target audience
- Iterate on the content and the overall design, carrying out regular analysis and health-checks on existing copy, shaping how it evolves and grows as we introduce new products and features, certifying that it is guiding the users and not frustrating them
- Help maintaining and defining Uphold’s content style guide, outlining the writing principles and guidelines for the copy and content of company’s products and services, ensuring it can be easily understood by all stakeholders

**Required qualifications**:

- Excellent copywriting skills and general written communication
- Proactivity and work well in an agile environment
- Solid understanding of user experience design
- Experience conducting UX research
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with crafting great copy
- Intuitive understanding of how to effectively design communications with a keen eye for detail on why a word is a better choice than another

**Bonus if you have**:

- Formal training in journalism, technical writing, creative writing, communications, public relations, between others that directly relates to good writing skills
- Knowledge in cryptocurrencies or other digital assets, as they are core to our business
- Community talks, certifications, and/or blog posts on your interests and research
