Biocatalysis Process Scientist

We are currently looking for a **Biocatalysis Scientist **to join our Technology Transfer Center team in Biocant Park, Cantanhede, Portugal. This position is a full-time employment, ideally suited for someone who wants to work in a fast-growing international biotech company and exceptionally dynamic and interdisciplinary team.

**Job Description**:
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Support technology transfer of enzymatic reactions from bench scale to pilot scale and them to industrial scale
- Conduct feasibility studies on a pilot scale for biocatalytic reactions by using carbohydrate processing enzymes
- Carry out enzymatic processes characterization and validation
- Define SOP or Master Technique for the developed processes
- Work on enzyme formulation and immobilization projects

**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications and requirements**:

- MSc our PhD or equivalent in enzymology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related fields dealing with enzymes
- Experience in enzymatic reactions optimization
- Experience in industrial biotechnology and food ingredients production is a plus
- Excellent in English and ability to work in an international and dynamic team
- Ability to work within interdisciplinary team structures
- Independent, structured, and proactive way of working with excellent problem-solving skills
- Commitment, flexibility, and reliability
- Ability to understand complex matters with a continuous focus on improveme_nt_
