The IT Architect Finance drives the continuous evolution of the system landscape such that it optimally supports the rapidly changing needs of the assigned business functions. The long-term job duties consist of identifying and proposing future technology opportunities, also by monitoring relevant industry trends, and prioritising them jointly with the business functions. The short-term activities consist of close partnering with business and IT contacts to drive newly requested system enhancements and solutions from initial request to implementation readiness.

Your day at Ferring- Maintain cross-system target architecture and long-term implementation roadmap of assigned business functions in close alignment with business and IT counterparts- Drive standard, best practice implementation and usage of off-the-shelf software based on up-to-date insights from industry peers, software user groups and other relevant sources- Optimise value for Ferring by driving architectural choices which maximise business benefits, minimise support and maintenance efforts, and ensure adaptability to the uncertain future evolution of the business and technology landscape- Ensure solid alignment between business and IT by collaborating closely with business process owners and IT architects of the relevant systems, as well as the enterprise architect- Identify unmet business needs and drive them through decision making by executing scoping and analysis (final deliverable: solution proposal with business case)- To ensure close collaboration with key contacts in Finance and IT, regular presence in St-Prex (HQ in Switzerland) and Lisbon (Portugal) is required- There is flexibility regarding the geographic location where the position will be based, so relocation isn't expected. However, to ensure close collaboration with key contacts in Finance and IT, regular presence in one of Ferring's existing offices is required, namely in St-Prex (HQ in Switzerland) and Lisbon (Portugal). Remote work is allowed with a maximum percentage defined in Ferring's local flexible work policies.

Behind our innovation There’s you- Strong human interaction skills are a must to successfully partner with a diverse network of contacts in business and IT- Experience with product management according to Agile methodologies is welcome- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT background- 5 to 7 years’ experiences with relevant systems, domains and/or processes (focus areas are Finance, Controlling, Treasury, and Tax)- A self-starter, who can effectively navigate a complex organizational structure. Equally comfortable with executives, manager-level stakeholders, architects and developers, comfortable leading without necessarily having the overt authority to do so- A person that can decide and act without having the total picture and is comfortable handling risk and uncertainty.
