Cfd Specialist

**Your Tasks**:

- Develop data analytics and visualization tools for atmospheric flow simulation results;
- Run LES simulations on the in-house Linux-based High-Performance Computing (HPC) system e.g. to support forensic windfarm & site analytics projects or to support advanced windfarm planning projects;
- Test and validate the physical models in the CFD tools against scientific literature;
- Modify or extend the physical models of the CFD solver by modifying its source code;
- Write unit tests and perform manual code tests for quality assurance; Document your work in internal reports and contribute to publications in conferences and scientific journals.

**Your Skills**:

- Degree Master with relevant work experience or PhD in: Mechanical or aerospace engineering, meteorology or comparable, with strong programming skills;
- Object oriented programming of larger software packages, ideally in the domain of engineering;
- Application of CFD, especially time-resolved and/or to the atmospheric boundary layer, is a plus;
- First project management experience is a plus;
- CFD programming experience and/or developer skills for High Performance Computing (HPC);
- Strong programming skills in Python (Fortran or C++ is a plus), incl. software architecture;
- Linux;
- GitLab and its CI/CD;
- Knowledge of atmospheric boundary layer physics is a plus;
- Professional English in spoken and written form;
- Independent, self-motivated and goal-oriented work style;
- MS Word, Power Point.
