**Sleep.8** is a company which found its origins in London, specializing in the manufacture of furniture and mattresses. In just 3 years, we have opened 36 stores in 8 European countries and our expansion plan foresees the opening of several stores nationally and internationally, marking a new era for the group. Currently, we intend to increase our team in our production unit in S. João da Madeira.

Your role as **CAPEX Coordinator (M/F)** is very important to us. You will have as main responsibility the development and implementation of major capital projects as a key member of the Technical team.

**THE DAY-TO-DAY OF A CAPEX COORDINATOR IN SLEEP.8**:

- Responsible for the management and strategic direction of the CAPEX engineering department and key technical projects for the company;
- Ensure the implementation of all project management standards from project initiation to closure;
- Define propose and monitor the implementation of the company’s engineering, maintenance, automation and technology plans and objectives including the development and deployment of the Company’s Engineering Manual and Standards;
- Implement work processes, procedures and technical resources related to engineering and technical services;
- Manage the engineering budget and capital investment plans and related capital investment expenditures;
- Train, develop and mentor engineering and technical employees to ensure future growth objects can be accomplished;
- Develop and execute a succession plan for the Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure long term viability and success;
- Promote continuous improvement, networking and sharing of information;
- Protect proprietary technology through approved and certified relationships with third parties;
- Support and recommend new technologies that improve the overall operations. Recommend and develop automation where appropriate;
- Partner with engineering and maintenance leadership for the selection, modification, installation, maintenance/repair of equipment;
- Key contributor when evaluating potential acquisitions, expansions and new technology introductions to the company;
- Manage all outsourced contractors as needed and all other duties as assigned.

**WHAT WE SEEK IN YOU**:

- Degree in Engineering. An MBA or Master of Engineering Management is a plus;
- Large Project Management Experience (minimum 5 years);
- Experience in progressive and diversified “Engineering Management”;
- Strong experience in capital project management utilizing standards and projects delivery through Initiation, planning, and execution;
- Proficient in MS Office especially excel and Microsoft projects, and ability to read electrical schematics, P&ID, construction drawings, and other technical documents. The same proficiency for accounting documents is highly valued;
- Experience installing new lines/equipment and/or new plant start-up is a plus;
- Familiar with preventative maintenance program management;
- Detailed oriented and have prior P&L and budget management experience;
- Strong ability to coach, lead and support engineering and maintenance staff.
