Why this job is important
This is a vital role. The Transformation Project Manager will focus on two key areas which are supervising the ongoing development of people, process and technology transformation and promoting the development of bold, sophisticated and multifaceted new transformation initiatives, including elements of system re-design, remodelling of services, behaviour change and delivery of savings.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead priority transformation projects, utilising project and programme management principles
- Inspire change withing Kantar Business Services (KBS) to deliver identified strategic outcomes
- Be responsible for all workstreams withing the projects, providing leadership for the projects under the guidance of the Sponsors
- Responsible for driving the PMO (Programme Management Office) on projects, project governance, (including partner management, change control, risks and issue management and escalation, monitoring and evaluation, quality assurance, resource management) and ensuring that corporate requirements are met
- Lead on the development and communication of robust project and programme plans and business cases, engaging partner in the process, and leading the gateway approval process
- Manage workstream leads assigned to the projects, providing them with leadership, direction, and oversight, managing interdependencies and ensuring a smooth operation
- Develop project and programme benefits realisation plans, working with the business to identify define, plan and monitor benefits
- Report delivery of the project and programme outcomes to the sponsor and programme board, keeping them informed of progress, and escalating issues as appropriate
- Persuade internal and external partners of the benefits of new technology or strategies, whilst laying out their risks, benefits and impacts
- Run workshops, exploring as-is and to-be models
- Crafting documents to outline the proposed changes and the steps involved
- Supervising the implementation of new technology or an innovative approach on behalf of the transformation programme manager
The skills & experience you’ll need.
- Experience of leading projects in 2-3 end to end programme cycles of large, complex organisation, process and technology change programmes
- Solid track record for planning, implementing, controlling, and closing large-scale organisational change projects
- Effective partner management and influencing skills (C- suite preferable)
- Excellent people management and leadership experience, with a confirmed ability to influence and lead multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrate experience of project management using Agile or Prince 2 project management methodologies across diverse industries as well as familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
- Commercial mentality and budget management
- Experience of setting up and leading a PMO, preferably using software such as Microsoft Projects
- Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, proven critical thinking and thought leadership
- Track record of succeeding in sophisticated, matrix and cross functional projects with the ability to encourage and influence across the organisation
- Proficient in English to a professional working level
