Your new Role
As a Senior Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for:
1. Playing a key role in developing and maintaining Telenor/DNA online and mobile application services, ensuring that they continue to enhance customer experience;
2. Developing and maintaining quality Back-End Services, using Java and other technologies;
3. Implementing and integrating REST APIs and Microservices;
4. Collaborating with functional teams to define, design, and ship new features;
5. Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge;
6. Identifying and solving performance and reliability issues in applications;
7. Working within Agile Methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban) and contributing to continuous improvement;
8. Engaging in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization with Docker.
What you will need to succeed
As a Senior Back-End Developer, you will need:
1. +4 years of experience working in Back-End Development;
2. Strong experience with Java technologies and frameworks like Spring Boot;
3. Experience with relational databases (MySQL);
4. Experience in designing and implementing integrations (Microservices, REST, and SOAP);
5. Good knowledge about Cloud Services (AWS and Kubernetes) and DevOps tools (Docker and Jenkins) and CI/CD practices;
6. Familiarity with version control systems (GitHub and Bitbucket);
7. Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms;
8. Experience with messaging systems (Kafka);
9. Growth mindset with a willingness to learn new technical and non-technical skills;
10. Willingness to work to benefit a team as a whole;
11. Experience from working in location-based teams;
12. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – Fluency in English.
