Role Summary

The DAM Platform Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of Wella’s Digital Asset Management system (Bynder), ensuring optimal usage, compliance, and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- System Administration: Oversee day-to-day operation, performance, and accessibility of the DAM platform.
- User Support & Training: Deliver onboarding, training, and ongoing support for users across brands and markets.
- Asset Governance: Ensure all assets uploaded are tagged, approved, compliant, and meet brand standards.
- Metadata Management: Develop and maintain metadata standards to enhance asset discoverability and searchability, working in close partnership with our Bynder brand leads.
- Brand Consistency: Enforce usage of only final, approved assets to support consistent branding.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor asset usage and expiry dates to minimize compliance risks and ensure legal requirements are met.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve DAM processes, workflows, and policies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, legal, and brand teams to align DAM practices with business needs.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track usage, adoption, and asset performance, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
- Technical Liaison: Coordinate with Technology to create a clear roadmap and ensure it is implemented on time.
- Communications: Partner with Bynder and the Technology team to co-create communications for marketing teams e.g. on any updates to Bynder. All communications to marketing need to be managed through this role.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for DAM processes, guidelines, training and best practices.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Active Users: Percentage of target users who performed at least one meaningful action (search, preview, download, share, upload) per month
- Metadata Accuracy: Percentage of assets with complete and correct metadata.
- Usage by License / Rights Window - Downloads/Bynder links usage within valid rights period (guardrail metric).
- User Satisfaction Score: Results from user feedback surveys regarding DAM usability and support.
- Training Completion Rate: Percentage of users who have completed DAM training.

The ideal candidate for this position will succeed in this role if they have both knowledge and technical depth about the company and the industry. This is essential as they will be a central person in the decision making process, working with multiple individuals across different teams when necessary. As a result, they will also be overseeing specific personnel.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Organized
- Strong leadership skills
