Production Supervisor

Ateliers du Portugal, is part of one of the largest international luxury groups. At ATEPELI we are dedicated to the production of exclusive leather goods and footwear components. Currently, we have 3 workshops in the north of Portugal, more specifically, in Ponte de Lima, Penafiel and Santa Maria da Feira. We are currently looking for an experienced Production Supervisor / Team Leader to lead a team of artisans and drive operational excellence at our Santa Maria da Feira site.

As a Production Supervisor, you will manage a team of 25–35 artisans, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery while fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.

This role operates on a rotating shift system, alternating every two weeks:

- Morning shift: 5:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- Afternoon shift: 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

What you’ll do

- Lead daily production operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency;
- Coordinate production planning and resources across rotating shifts;
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean practices;
- Develop, motivate, and support team members’ professional growth;
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards;
- Analyze performance KPIs and implement corrective actions;
- Contribute to process improvement and development projects;
- Maintain open communication across teams and departments;
- Support the Production Director on strategic initiatives when required.

Is this position made for you

- Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field;
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading production teams;
- Strong knowledge of production management and lean manufacturing;
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills;
- High ethical standards and discretion;
- Solid understanding of HSE regulations;
- Strong communication and people-management skills.
