About BloodFlow

At BloodFlow, we're building an AI platform that interprets blood test results in their full clinical context — helping doctors make faster, safer, and more informed decisions.

We combine LLMs, RAG pipelines, and medical best practices to transform raw lab data into structured, actionable insights. Our solution is already being used by clinics and hospitals, and we're preparing for our first regulatory certifications and CE marking as a Class IIa medical device.

Role Summary

As People Operations Manager, you'll shape BloodFlow's culture and employee experience as we scale from startup to scale-up. You'll lead talent acquisition, build HR processes, and ensure we maintain our mission-driven culture while growing rapidly.

This is a foundational HR role perfect for someone who loves building people-first cultures and has experience scaling startups.

Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical and non-technical roles

- Source candidates through multiple channels and build talent pipelines

- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and interview processes

- Build and maintain our employer brand across various platforms

- Design and implement onboarding processes for new team members

- Develop employee engagement initiatives and feedback mechanisms

- Manage performance review processes and career development programs

- Foster a diverse, inclusive, and high-performance culture

📋 HR Operations & Compliance

- Build scalable HR processes and policies as we grow

- Ensure compliance with Portuguese and EU employment law

- Manage compensation and benefits programs

- Handle employee relations and resolve workplace issues

What We're Looking For

- 3+ years experience in HR/People Operations, preferably at startups or scale-ups

- Strong experience in talent acquisition and full-cycle recruiting

- Knowledge of Portuguese employment law and EU regulations

- Experience building HR processes and policies from scratch

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Fluency in English and Portuguese

- Experience recruiting for AI/ML or technical roles

- Background in healthcare or regulated industries

- Experience with HRIS systems and HR analytics

- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices

- Experience scaling teams from 10-50+ employees
