YOUR ROLE

Our engineering activities are governed by Export Control. Capgemini is fully committed to ensuring compliance with national and international regulations. This role covers Portugal and other designated countries within ER&D global operations and works closely with Engagement Managers, Legal, Quality and Risk Managers, Delivery Teams and external authorities. The Export Control Manager reports to_flagged instantiated Capgemini Engineering Export Control Manager.

- Deploy '%' export control policy and procedures, including the Group Export Control and International Sanctions Policy, the ER&D Export Control Internal Compliance Program, the Group Bidto Delivery Export Control process, and the ER&D Export Control Delivery process.

- Be the Export Control Manager and main point of contact for the assigned country areas.

- Manage the global export license request, implementation and application to support project needs: master Portuguese export control regulation and licensing process; identify license requirements, manage requests, and ensure application of conditions within the project scope; manage reporting to appropriate authorities; ensure compliance with ML, Dual Use, ITAR and EAR regulation.

- Support operational functions by applying export control procedures within their activities and especially supporting Engagement Managers in their project needs and compliance monitoring: manage the export control procedures; conduct project export control assessments; provide guidance and actively monitor projects to ensure full compliance with export control regulations throughout their lifecycle; ensure deployment of export control requirements.

- Participate and organize export control awareness sessions: organize general, targeted, and thematic Export Control training.

- Raise alerts to the Capgemini Engineering Export Control Manager in case of compliance issues or identified needs.

YOUR PROFILE

- Bachelor's degree in Law, International Trade, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

- Minimum of 5 years in Export Control, with proven expertise in both Portuguese and international regulatory environments.

- Fluency in English (mandatory) and Portuguese (required); usefulness more languages considered an advantage.

- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and apply compliance principles effectively across country projects.
