The Role

You’ll take ownership of our cloud infrastructure, automation pipelines, and system observability, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across all environments.

- This is a hands-on role for a builder-operator — someone who can design, implement, and optimize GCP environments with world-class DevSecOps practices.

Your Mission:

- Infrastructure & Networking – Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure on GCP. Configure VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, and load balancers for internal and public services.

- Security & Access – Manage IAM roles, permissions, and access policies. Implement authentication flows, Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP), SSL/TLS certificates, and hardening of GCP services.

- Automation & CI/CD – Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build and Terraform. Deploy canary releases and rollback automation while enforcing DevSecOps best practices.

- Storage & Databases – Manage Cloud Storage buckets and Cloud SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL), ensuring secure access, performance tuning, and automated backups.

- Monitoring & Observability – Set up alerts, dashboards, and metrics using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Grafana, Prometheus, and Sentry to ensure system reliability and visibility.

- Collaboration & Delivery – Work closely with backend engineers and report clear deliverables, ensuring operational excellence across teams.

Who You Are:

- ✔️ 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer

- ✔️ Proven experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments

- ✔️ Strong expertise in Terraform, Cloud Build, and CI/CD tools (GitHub/GitLab CI)

- ✔️ Advanced knowledge of cloud security, networking, and load balancing

- ✔️ Familiar with agile methodologies and DevSecOps principles

- ✔️ Excellent communication and documentation skills

- ✔️ You speak Spanish fluently (highly preferred)

- ✔️ Based in Portugal and able to invoice with NIF and NISS (required for tax, contract, and social security compliance)
