Junior IT Support Specialist

Position Overview
As a Junior IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, including computers, mobile devices, headsets, mice, and other peripherals. You'll work closely with teams across the organization, utilizing tools like JIRA to manage IT requests and providing support in Windows environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Hardware Maintenance: Install, configure, and repair computers, mobile devices, headsets, and other peripherals.
- Software Support: Ensure the smooth operation of Windows environments and troubleshoot system issues.
- Incident Management: Use JIRA to track, manage, and resolve IT support tickets effectively.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain hardware inventory to ensure availability for team members.
- User Support: Provide friendly and professional assistance to staff, addressing their IT concerns promptly.
- Collaboration: Work with senior IT team members on complex issues and contribute to ongoing projects.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in IT are a plus (e.g., Microsoft certifications).
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with hardware maintenance (computers, mobile devices, peripherals).
- Understanding of Windows operating systems.
- Experience with JIRA or similar ticketing systems is a bonus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Team-oriented with a proactive attitude.
- Experience: Prior internship or part-time experience in an IT support role is beneficial but not required.
