Role Overview

We are looking for a

Data Architect

to join one of our Nearshote teams working on projects for international clients accross The Netherlands, Germany and other European locations.

You help design and implement scalable, secure, and future-proof data architectures for international clients. This role acts as the strategic bridge between business vision and technical execution, ensuring data ecosystems are reliable, compliant, and ready for analytics, AI, and innovation.

What you will do

Translate business objectives into actionable data strategies and architectural designs.

Design and oversee modern data architectures (data mesh, lakehouse, event-driven patterns) on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Define architectural standards and guide implementation teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Lead discovery workshops and collaborate with engineers, consultants, and domain experts across different time zones.

Ensure data governance, security-by-design, and GDPR-compliant handling across all solutions.

What you are like

Experienced in data architecture and enterprise-level data platforms within complex environments.

Proficient in modern data modeling (star/snowflake, 3NF, Data Vault) and storage formats (Delta, Parquet).

Strong hands-on knowledge of cloud data platforms (preferably Azure: ADLS, Fabric, Synapse, Databricks; Snowflake experience is a plus).

Skilled in designing ELT/ETL pipelines (dbt, Airflow, ADF/Fabric) and streaming patterns (Kafka/Event Hubs).

Solid understanding of data governance, cataloging, lineage, and security frameworks (DAMA/DCAM).

Advanced SQL and working proficiency in Python or Scala for data engineering patterns.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead workshops and guide teams.

Excellent communicator with strong command of English.
