This role is responsible for driving growth of the organization's cardiovascular portfolio through scientific and clinical expertise. The Medical Director of Cardiovascular Medicine will harness the organization's vast data and clinical trial resources to develop innovative, data-driven, and patient-centered solutions for cardiovascular trials.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a proven track record of driving business growth. They will also have a robust knowledge of scientific, clinical, regulatory, commercial, and competitive landscape in cardiology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create innovative, evidence-based delivery strategies and solutions for cardiovascular trials or studies.
- In partnership with other functions, responsible for the award of strategic new business to achieve annual targets.
- Provide scientific, clinical, and operational advice to internal stakeholders developing proposals.
- Support preparation of customer meetings, presentations, and bid defense meetings.
- Participates in strategic business development activities including presentations to prospective clients and professional meetings.
- Maintains awareness of industry pipeline and scientific and business landscape.
Requirements:
Scientific and Research Qualifications and Experience- A physician with experience in cardiology, with a degree from an accredited school required.
- 5+ years clinical research relevant experience, including hands-on operational delivery and/or drug development experience.
- Excellent skills in providing consultation and advice on multiple assignments are required.
- Strong clinical research skills and commitment to evidence-based and patient-centered clinical development.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, including good command of the English language.
- Strong leadership skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and lead a virtual team in a matrix organization.
- Flexible and able to work in situations where specifications may or may not be well defined.
