The Team:

The Change Center of Excellence (COE), part of the Portfolio & Governance Office, is the driving force behind effective change management at Springer Nature Technology. We empower our organization to navigate the complexities of transformation by focusing on the human side of change.

About the job

Job Summary:

The Change Management Lead will be a key player for guiding transformation efforts on behalf of the Centre of Excellence. This role focuses on developing and implementing change management strategies using Prosci methodologies to help teams adapt to new processes and technologies.

With a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, communication, and training, the Change Management Lead will ensure that changes are effectively adopted across the organisation. The position requires extensive experience in change management and involves close collaboration with the director and team members to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the CoE Director and team members to identify, assess and manage change impacts on people, processes and technology.
2. Utilise change management methodologies to create and execute effective change management plans, ensuring alignment with CoE approach and organisational goals.
3. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
4. Create and deliver training programmes and support materials.
5. Facilitate stakeholder engagement through effective communication strategies, training sessions, and workshops to foster buy-in and support for changes.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of change initiatives into daily operations.
7. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of change management initiatives, providing feedback and recommendations to enhance outcomes.
8. Monitor and manage change-related issues and concerns.
9. Collaborate with senior leadership to align change initiatives with business goals.
10. Develop and maintain change management documentation.
11. Support the development of a change-ready culture within the organisation.

About YOU

Your Experience:

1. Extensive experience in change management roles, preferably in the tech or publishing sectors.
2. Proven track record of successfully leading change initiatives in large, complex organisations.
3. Experience and practical application of Prosci (preferred) change management methodologies.
4. Strong capability in stakeholder management and building relationships with cross-functional teams at all levels.
5. Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops, training sessions, and presentations effectively.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
8. Ability to assess the impact of changes and develop mitigation plans.
9. Ability to develop and execute communication plans.
10. Ability to measure and report on the effectiveness of change initiatives.

Your qualifications:

1. Certification in change management (ideally Prosci).
2. Certification in project management (desirable).
3. Certified coach (advantageous).
