We are strengthening our team for a challenging project within the technology sector and are looking for an SQL Developer with strong experience in database development, automation, and reporting to support the design, optimization, and evolution of data-driven solutions.

This role combines strong SQL expertise, hands-on development skills, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Location: Lisbon or Porto

Work model: Hybrid (2 days per week at the office)

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, optimize, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, ensuring high performance, data integrity, and security;
- Design and implement complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support business and technical requirements;
- Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of SQL Server environments;
- Develop scripts and routines using Visual Basic (VB) to automate processes and support data integration between systems;
- Create, maintain, and automate reports and dashboards in Excel, including the use of macros and VBA;
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), contributing to continuous improvement initiatives;
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, and maintainable data solutions;
- Support documentation of data solutions and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team;
- Identify technical risks related to data solutions and propose effective alternatives or improvements.

Required Profile

- At least 5 years of professional experience in SQL development or similar roles;
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning;
- Solid knowledge of Visual Basic (VB) applied to automation and data integration;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including dashboards, reporting, and automation with macros/VBA;
- Ability to design robust, scalable, and efficient SQL-based solutions;
- Experience working in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams;
- Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban;
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities;
- Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset;
- Motivation to continuously improve technical skills and contribute to high-quality solutions.

Nice to Have

- Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools;
- Understanding of system integrations, APIs, or cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
