You will report to the Payment Operations & Risk Manager and work from our office in Dublin (hybrid).
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Continuously monitor and evaluate fraud and portfolio risks through internal & external reports and tools
2. Investigate/resolve escalated cases of account suspensions
3. Conduct merchant and transaction level risk reviews
4. Make decisions to approve/reject/escalate users for further information
5. Maintain and improve current risk reporting
6. Partner with Finance team to investigate chargebacks
7. Partner with Customer Operations team to resolve escalated client issues
8. Identify fraud rings and patterns of abuse
9. Investigate/resolve payment related issues or exceptions
10. Help with designing, implementing, and monitoring new methodologies and metrics for risk process and policy effectiveness.
11. Provide training and mentorship for new Risk Analysts as the team expands
QUALIFICATIONS
1. 4+ years of experience in fraud/risk in either e-commerce, FinTech, online marketplaces, or similar digital businesses
2. Knowledge of payment processing, underwriting, financial statements, and basic bank and association rules
3. You have experience working with risk & payments tools like Sift, Kount, Stripe, Plaid, Accertify, etc. and feel comfortable learning and exploring new software to improve our service
4. You have experience using data to back up assumptions and make recommendations
5. You're collaborative and know how to connect the dots between teams and manage cross-functional initiatives
6. You are curious, like to dig for answers to the unknown, and are comfortable making decisions autonomously
