Senior SAP FICO Consultant – Luxury Retail | Hybrid (Lisbon)
We are looking for an experienced
Senior SAP FICO Consultant
to join a
long-term freelance engagement
within the
Luxury Retail sector . This role is part of a stable, ongoing SAP landscape, offering the opportunity to work on complex finance processes in a premium retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
Act as a
Senior SAP FICO Consultant
supporting Finance business processes in a luxury retail environment
Analyze, configure, and optimize
SAP FI and CO
processes (GL, AP, AR, AA, Cost Centers, Profit Centers)
Support
end-to-end financial processes
for retail operations, including stores, e-commerce, and intercompany flows
Perform
advanced debugging
to analyze issues in standard SAP and custom developments
Work closely with
ABAP developers
to identify root causes and propose solutions
Support
integration with SD, MM, and Retail-specific processes
Handle incidents, change requests, and continuous improvements
Participate in functional testing, regression testing, and support activities
Collaborate with international stakeholders and business users
Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and internal governance standards
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience
as an
SAP FICO Consultant
Strong hands-on expertise in
SAP FI and CO
Proven experience in the
Retail sector , ideally
Luxury Retail
Solid experience in
debugging
(reading and analyzing ABAP code, breakpoints, troubleshooting)
Strong understanding of
end-to-end financial flows
in retail (stores, POS, inventory valuation, intercompany)
Experience working in
support and enhancement environments
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently in a
freelance/contractor setup
Fluent
English
and
Portuguese
is mandatory
Nice to Have
Experience with
SAP S/4HANA Finance
Exposure to
SAP Retail or CAR
Knowledge of
tax and localization topics
Previous experience in international or multi-country rollouts
