Senior Software Engineer (Insurance Sector)

Job Description

Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications.

Responsibilities

- Apply scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems.

- Develop and apply software engineering practice and knowledge in research, design, development and maintenance.

- Exercise original thought and judgement and supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.

- Build skills and expertise to reach standard software engineer skill expectations as defined in Professional Communities.

- Collaborate and act as a team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Fully competent in its area with deep understanding of programming concepts, software design and development principles. Works autonomously with minimal supervision. Acts as key contributor in complex environment, leads team activities, proactively understand client needs, offers advice, assess and adapt to project issues, formulate innovative solutions, works under pressure, drive team, manage costs, explain concepts to varied audiences, motivate others.
