Required skills and qualifications

- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps
- Strong grasp on networking concepts - TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, VPNs, firewall, routing, load balancing and traffic management
- Hands-on experience configuring cloud networking services (AWS VPC, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Azure VNets, GCP VPC, etc.)
- Experience with container orchestration and networking - Kubernetes (CNI, ingress, service mesh) and Docker Swarm (overlay networks, services, ingress routing)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code - Terraform, Ansible or similar
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, or equivalent)
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or related
- Solid understanding of security best practices in network design and implementation
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across systems and networks
- Certifications in networking or cloud (e.g., AWS Advanced Networking, Cisco CCNP/CCIE) are nice to have
- Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud connectivity is a nice to have
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, Consul) and microservices communication patterns is a nice to have
- Exposure to compliance standards (ISO, SOC2, GDPR) and secure network design is a nice to have
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading projects with a networking focus is a nice to have
- Fluency in English and Portuguese (at least B2 Level)
- Availability to work in a hybrid regime, in Coimbra
