The Application Manager operates and monitors key business applications, ensuring issues are logged for development and stability improvements are captured as requirements. They automate and oversee production processes day and night, collaborating with developers and DevOps to maintain stability across all environments. All work follows ITIL practices for Incident, Change, Configuration, and Problem Management. Your Role and Responsibilities: - Operate and monitor market-differentiating business applications. - Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analyses, and manage incidents. - Collaborate with IT providers on requirements, incident resolution, and defect tracking. - Design, program, and maintain production workflows based on departmental needs. - Analyze monitoring, logging, and automation data to identify trends and performance hotspots. - Maintain and update technical documentation (e.g., operations manuals). - Advise project managers and teams on application operations. - Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation. - Manage crisis situations involving business-critical systems. Your Skills and Experiences: - Strong background in application operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting. - Proficiency with Windows, Linux (RHEL), Oracle databases, and middleware (TIBCO BW, Java services). - Experience with automation and deployment tools (Ansible, Docker, Terraform, Crossplane, ArgoCD). - Familiarity with batch scheduling (BMC ControlM), monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), and logging (ELK stack). - Understanding of both on-prem and cloud environments (Azure Kubernetes Service, Cosmos DB, Service Bus/Event Hub). - Knowledge of scaling (KEDA), backups (Velero), and ingress controllers (Azure Application Gateway, Traefik). - Experience with CMDB, incident, and request management (ServiceNow) and documentation tools (Confluence). - Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. - Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork. - Fluent in English (spoken and written).
