Job Overview

Join Lead Software Engineer at AuctionConnect and transform the maritime fuel industry through innovative technology. We are scaling a digital auction platform that is reshaping bunker fuel procurement for the global shipping industry.

Your Team

You will report to the Head of Engineering as a key member of the Product Development team. Your team consists of experienced sales and product colleagues. Locally skilled, internationally diverse, you will cultivate a culture of technical excellence and innovation while aligning initiatives with strategic business objectives.

Technical Leadership

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will shape the technical direction of a platform that is transforming the future of the maritime industry. Your responsibilities include:

- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, architectural guidance, and hands‑on experience to ensure high software quality.
- Organize architectural initiatives to build scalable, efficient, and maintainable systems for bunker trading workflows and real‑time auction processes.
- Solve complex technical challenges, mitigate risks, address bottlenecks, and continuously improve development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

We are looking for an engineer with the following qualifications:

- Experience with React, .NET, and Azure Cloud.
- Advanced skills in SQL/NoSQL databases, CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, and security best practices.
- Knowledge of authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
- Leadership experience guiding and motivating teams, effective communication, capacity to handle unexpected challenges, and conflict resolution skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, software design patterns, and system scalability principles.
- High level of English, spoken and written.
