Job Title: AWS Data Engineer

Location: Lisbon OR Porto, Portugal

Work model: Full-time, Hybrid (2x office per week)

About the Role

We're expanding our Data Engineering team capacity to support our customers.

This role is ideal for a technically solid professional with hands-on experience in AWS, data processing, and analytics, who is comfortable working in collaborative, data-driven teams.

The position offers a hybrid working model, with regular presence in Lisbon or Porto, and exposure to modern cloud and data engineering practices.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support analytics and reporting need;
- Work extensively with AWS services, including the development and maintenance of data solutions integrated with AWS QuickSight;
- Develop data processing and transformation logic using Python and SQL;
- Support the implementation of cloud-based data architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance;
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure proper deployment, automation, and monitoring of data solutions;
- Contribute to data quality, performance optimisation, and best practices across the data platform;
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field;
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS QuickSight (mandatory);
- Solid and proven experience with AWS, Python, and SQL;
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, ETL processes, and cloud technologies;
- Experience with PySpark is considered a strong plus;
- Fluency in spoken and written English;
- Availability to work in a hybrid model (2 days per week on-site) in Lisbon or Porto.
