We are seeking a highly analytical and ambitious Financial Controller to play a pivotal role in driving our financial strategy, maintaining robust control environments, and supporting sustainable growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with 3-4 years of relevant experience, looking to take on significant responsibility within a dynamic sector.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, your core mission will be to guarantee the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting strategic decisions across the Group.

- Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards.

- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and manage periodic financial forecasting, analyzing variances and providing detailed performance commentary to management.

- Cost Control & Analysis: Implement rigorous cost control measures, focusing specifically on optimizing key F&B operational metrics (e.g., COGS, labor costs).

- Strategic Insight: Apply critical thinking to analyze business performance trends and financial models, providing proactive recommendations for operational efficiency and profitability improvement.

- Internal Controls: Maintain and improve the system of internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.

- Audit & Compliance: Coordinate external audits and ensure timely and accurate preparation of all tax and regulatory filings.

- Systems Management: Ensure efficient utilization of the ERP system and financial tools to streamline reporting and operational data gathering.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with a strategic mindset.

Required Qualifications

- Experience: 3 to 4 years of proven experience in Accounting, Audit, or Financial Control.

- Sector Focus (Highly Valued): Experience gained within the Food & Beverage, Hospitality (Hotels/Restaurants), or Retail sectors is a significant advantage.

- Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field. Professional certifications are a plus.

- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory for complex financial modeling and reporting. Strong experience working with ERP systems is also required.

- Analytical Acumen: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data, draw actionable insights, and apply critical thinking to strategic challenges.

- Language: Fluency in both Portuguese and English is essential.
