Data Scientist (Mid-Senior) at Capgemini Engineering

Responsibilities

- Taking ownership of data science initiatives and projects, demonstrating a proactive and results-driven approach.
- Analyzing and interpreting complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to understand business needs, designing and implementing statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
- Leveraging big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks for processing and analyzing large volumes of data, or equivalent cloud computing expertise.
- Developing and deploying predictive models and algorithms in real-world production environments.
- Conducting exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model validation.
- Effectively communicating findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Embracing a data-driven, solution-oriented, and collaborative mindset.

Your Profile (Qualifications)

- 2 or more years of experience in data science with focus on statistical modeling, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and distributed/cloud processing frameworks such as PySpark.
- Familiarity with analytics libraries/frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and various ML techniques.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools/libraries (e.g., Seaborn, Matplotlib, Plotly).
- Experience with large datasets and distributed computing frameworks, on-premises or cloud.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Solid academic foundation in Engineering, Data & AI, or Computer Science.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS preferred).
- Mandatory fluency in English.
