Big Data Engineer

We are looking for a Big Data Engineer with the following qualifications:

- 9+ years of experience in data engineering and large-scale data platforms

- Strong hands‑on experience with Apache Spark for batch and streaming data processing

- Advanced proficiency in Python for data pipelines and automation

- Solid experience with Hadoop ecosystems, including HDFS, Hive, and related tools

- Strong SQL skills for data analysis, transformation, and optimization

- Experience working in Linux environments

- Hands‑on experience designing and consuming APIs for data ingestion and integration

- Experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming

- Strong understanding of data modeling, data lakes, and distributed systems

- Ability to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines

Location: Porto or Lisbon

Regime: Hybrid – Mandatory location in Portugal

Level of Experience: Senior (+7 years)

Salary Package & Benefits: €1,750 to €3,500 (base) + Food Allowance + Flex Benefits
