We are seeking an experienced Hotel HR Manager to join a well-established hospitality operation in Albufeira, Portugal . The ideal candidate must be currently based in Portugal and come strictly from a hotel/hospitality background . This role will oversee all human resources functions and support hotel leadership in driving a strong people culture and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end HR operations for the hotel, including recruitment, onboarding, and retention
Partner with hotel management to support workforce planning and staffing requirements
Ensure full compliance with Portuguese labour laws and hospitality regulations Oversee employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary procedures
Manage payroll coordination, contracts, benefits, and HR documentation
Lead training and development initiatives aligned with hotel service standards
Support pre-opening or seasonal workforce ramp-up if required
Foster a positive workplace culture and high employee engagement Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as an HR Manager within a hotel or hospitality environment (mandatory) Currently based in Portugal (mandatory) Strong knowledge of Portuguese employment law Experience working with seasonal staffing models is an advantage
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Fluent in Portuguese and English (additional languages are a plus) Strong organisational and people-management skills What We Offer
