We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our Client’s team under a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Modeling & Engineering

- Design and maintain semantic models (star/snowflake schemas) optimized for analytics and reporting
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple data sources
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across BI solutions

Analytics & Reporting

- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and governance standards
- Translate business requirements into technical BI solutions
- Performance & Optimization
- Optimize SQL queries, data models, and report performance for large-scale datasets
- Monitor and tune BI workloads in cloud and on-prem environments
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with business users to understand KPIs, metrics, and reporting needs
- Partner with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product teams
- Provide guidance and best practices to analysts and report developers

Governance & Best Practices

- Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and documentation
- Support data lineage, metadata management, and auditability
- Ensure compliance with security and privacy requirements

Required Qualifications:

- Strong SQL skills (query optimization, indexing, complex joins)
- Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Redshift, SQL Server)
- Hands-on experience with Power BI (semantic models, DAX, DirectQuery, Premium)
- Understanding of ETL/ELT tools (ADF, Airflow, dbt, SSIS, Fivetran, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of data modeling techniques (Kimball, dimensional modeling)
- Ability to translate business questions into data models and KPIs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing mindset
- English proficiency at minimum B2 level

Nice to Have:

- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Familiarity with Python for data processing or automation
- Experience with DevOps / CI/CD for BI (Git, deployment pipelines)
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks
