We are looking for a Principal Product Manager
As a Principal Product Manager, you will contribute to the roadmap and delivery of an agentic platform and core database capabilities. You will own the data layer that supports ODC applications and agents, helping define how agents, agent-enabled applications, context, and data sharing can simplify, automate, and accelerate software development.
You will work closely with engineering teams and cross-functional partners, translating customer and field needs into clear Value Milestones (VMs), prioritizing initiatives, securing commitments, and driving delivery through to customer adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Runtime Data Model and designated AI and data initiatives, aligned with company goals and customer needs.
- Define, scope, and manage Value Milestones and Initiatives end to end, including problem definition, expected outcomes, prioritization, tracking, and closure when no longer relevant.
- Coordinate delivery across multiple teams, including IDE, Data Fabric, Portal, Identity, Architecture, Quality, and Support.
- Prioritize initiatives using customer insights, incidents, engineering capacity, company priorities, and structured planning frameworks.
- Lead the product side of a runtime engineering team, providing direction, clarifying scope and design decisions, removing blockers, and balancing customer value, risk, and effort.
- Manage customer risk associated with runtime changes, ensuring safe releases, appropriate rollout strategies, breaking-change reviews, and clear customer communication.
- Partner with engineering, design, architecture, quality, and data teams to deliver usable and scalable platform and AI capabilities.
- Collaborate with Go-to-Market (GTM), Product Marketing, Support, Solution Architects, and Sales to improve product positioning, adoption, and enablement.
- Drive measurable outcomes and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery to General Availability (GA) and adoption.
- Triage incoming requests and determine whether they should become Value Milestones, bugs, or require no action.
- Monitor dependencies, team capacity, and commitments, escalating risks to delivery timelines when necessary.
- Publish regular written status updates covering progress, achievements, next steps, and risks.
- Review customer feedback, Productboard insights, and incidents to inform product priorities and roadmap decisions.
- Align initiatives across the value stream to maintain clear scope, avoid duplication, and ensure effective collaboration between Product Managers.
Requirements:
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally within platform, PaaS, SaaS, data, or enterprise software environments.
- Experience leading product development for technical platforms or infrastructure, such as databases, runtimes, or developer tools.
- Experience guiding engineering teams and coordinating delivery across multiple teams, or managing other Product Managers.
- Proven track record of delivering impactful products based on customer insights and measurable outcomes. Technical Skills
- Strong technical background or deep familiarity with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and modern AI concepts.
- Experience with AI platforms is a plus.
- Experience with Jira and Productboard, or similar tools, for product planning, prioritization, and roadmap management.
- Ability to understand technical topics such as database behaviour, runtime changes, upgrades, performance, limitations, and permissions.
- Strong analytical skills, using customer insights, incidents, revenue metrics, engineering capacity, and other data to support product decisions. Product Management Skills
- Ability to define product vision, strategy, roadmaps, initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
- Experience managing Value Milestones and coordinating end-to-end delivery.
