Unreal Engine Developer – Novelab

As an Unreal Engine Developer, you will design, build, and optimize real-time interactive applications for VR/AR/MR platforms and immersive installations. Working alongside artists, designers, and engineers, you’ll help push the boundaries of interactive experiences.

What You’ll Need

- Degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

- 3–7 years of experience in Unreal Engine development (UE4/UE5).

- Proficiency in C++ and Blueprints for real-time applications.

- Strong understanding of gameplay systems, optimization, and memory management.

- Experience with XR devices (Quest, Vision Pro, Pico, Vive, etc.) or interactive installations.

- Familiarity with source control (Git, Perforce) and agile workflows.

- Ability to collaborate closely with artists, designers, and tech leads.

- (Plus) Skills in full‑stack development (Node.js, Python, React) or native mobile development (Android Studio, Xcode, Swift, Kotlin) are a significant advantage.

What You’ll Do

- Design and implement interactive features and tools using C++ and Blueprints.

- Integrate 3D assets, UI, animations, and VFX into performant real‑time environments.

- Develop and optimize XR applications for standalone or tethered headsets.

- Prototype and iterate rapidly based on creative and technical feedback.

- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Design, 3D, Sound, UX, QA) to ensure smooth production pipelines.

- Contribute to the architecture and scalability of internal frameworks and tools.

- Maintain technical documentation and participate in code reviews.

- Support the integration of networking, data, or API layers when relevant.

- Explore emerging Unreal Engine features and XR technologies (OpenXR, Meta SDKs, Apple VisionOS, etc.).

- Contribute to R&D prototypes and internal tools enhancing Novelab’s production workflows.

- Share knowledge and best practices across teams.

Work on visionary projects for brands and partners such as Meta, Chanel, Givaudan, SNCF, and take part in shaping the future of immersive media.
