Capgemini Engineering Portugal is strengthening its operational capabilities to support the growing complexity of Research & Development activities. As part of our Technology and Innovation (T&I), we are expanding our team with a detail-oriented and proactive R&D Operations Specialist.

YOUR MISSION
You will play a key role in enabling the operational excellence of T&I department, supporting the teams behind innovation delivery. This role combines structured thinking with hands‑ execution, focusing on improving how we manage, track, and report innovation work.
You will be expected to contribute to the design and continuous improvement of internal processes, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and well‑documented. You will also help develop and maintain tools that support data validation, reporting, and decision‑making.
This is a collaborative role, ideal for someone who enjoys optimizing operations and enabling teams to focus on technical delivery.
YOUR ROLE
- Designing, maintaining, and improving operational tools to support reporting, planning, and data validation;
- Ensuring monthly timesheet submissions are aligned with planned allocations (correct hours in correct projects
- Participating in the Month-End Closing process, applying critical thinking to analyze deviations from forecast (e.g., hours, costs, revenues);
- Managing the procurement process: requesting quotes, liaising with suppliers, tracking ETAs, and updating cost/revenue forecasts accordingly;
- Handle multiple administrative tasks including: i) Follow‑up of e‑mails and tasks, ii) recording meeting minutes, iii) conducting errands;
- Support administrative workflows, including follow‑up communications, digital documentation archiving, and access management for project files and tools;
